I shall not be moved
Psalm 16:8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my
right hand, I shall not be moved.
Very simple and too the point isn’t it. I could probably just
leave it right there and say nothing more on the subject, that verse
speaks for itself. The world stands against us, it always has and it
always will, until the Lord comes back. But isn’t it good to know
that no matter what happens if we stand for the Lord we shall not be
moved.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might
have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.
Amen, praise the Lord!!! If your in Jesus you have overcome the world,
no matter how hard it gets a times, and from time to time it will be
difficult to live for the Lord, but the victory is already won the battle
is already decided. God did our fighting for us, the devil is defeated
and we are on our way to heaven to live with the Lord Jesus Christ forever.
Perhaps you think I’m making a bold statement, and that I shouldn’t
say such things. Well how about this..
1Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour
is not in vain in the Lord.
I would have to say that what I said wasn’t any bolder than what
Paul said there. You see Jesus already paid the price for me. Just like
the song says “Praise God its settled I’m saved”.
Christ paid the full price on the cross. It amazes me and I will admit
that in truth it angers me to some point that people would believe and
teach such things, that people seem to think that a person can lose
there salvation once there are born again. Honestly to do so is to suggest
that the price that Jesus paid wasn’t sufficient to save us. I
will not put my filthy rags into salvation. I can’t earn it, I
don’t deserve it but it’s mine all because Jesus loved me
and died for me.
I dare anyone to show me one verse that says that I can truly lose
my salvation once I am born again. I mean it one verse, and I’ll
tell you right now it can’t be done, why you ask? Here you go.
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
sealed unto the day of redemption.
Ok lets look at this verse for just a moment, when we are born again
we are sealed unto the day of redemption. Now I challenge anyone to
show me any verse in the New Testament that says I can be unsealed??????
You won’t find it, I can promise you that.
1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this
is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus
is the Son of God?
Now once again lets take a look at these verses. Whatsoever is born
of God (Born again see John chapter 3) overcomes the world. Now if you
have overcome the world, how can you un-overcome the world??? Show me
one verse that says I can be unborn again???? Just one come on.
I know what some of you are thinking, I’m being brash and cocky
and mean and (add your own adjective). You know it may seem harsh to
you but I don’t care what your thinking, I shall not be moved!!!
You see you can’t take the Word of God in context and prove that
someone can lose their salvation in the day of grace it simply can’t
be done.
Romans 8: 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things
to come,
39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to
separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Understand what Paul was telling us here, nothing shall be able to
separate us from the love of God. Look closely, nor things present,
sins in our lives right now, nor things to come, sins we will commit
in the future. None of these things can separate us from the love of
God, NONE OF THEM!!!!! I want to make sure I am getting the point across
those of us that our born again are born again for all times.
1John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the
name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,
and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Look at it, “Know” present tense, “have” present
tense. If we know that we have eternal life how the heck can we lose
it???????????? I mean it now it burns me up when people teach that its
grace through faith and then turn around and teach that it can be lost.
You need to straighten up your doctrine. Jesus did not say my part is
done when He died on the cross, He said “it is finished”
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said,
It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
You absolutely cannot earn salvation, and you absolutely can not lose
it once you are born again in the day of grace that we now live in.
I’m serious now I want some of you who claim that there is no
such thing as once saved always saved to PROVE IT, from the Word and
not from what some man taught you. I don’t care to know what a
man has to say on the subject I want to know what the Word of God has
to say about it.
1John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal
life.
Now if God promised us eternal life, why should we think that He would
break His promise??? Anyone really and truly want to accuse God of breaking
His promise??? I didn’t think so.
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being
made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth
on a tree:
Can you unredeem what Christ has redeemed??? Can you truly stand there
and tell me that you are able to undo what the Lord has done???
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through him.
10. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death
of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom we have now received the atonement.
Notice the end of Verse 11 “we have NOW received the atonement”,
we already have it, if we are already atoned how can we become unatoned???
I want know how can it be done???
The fact of the matter is that it cant be done, but for some reason
some people still want to think they have some sort of control over
salvation, when the truth is a person cant be saved until they truly
realize that there is nothing they can do to earn it. Only by the grace
of God are we saved and only because we place our whole hearted faith
in the shed blood and finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross at
Calvary. That is the only way. Jesus is the only way we can get to heaven
there is nothing we can do ourselves to earn salvation, and there is
nothing we can do to lose our salvation once we have been born again.
Those of us that are born of God are promised eternal life and I for
one believe the Lord keeps His promises. Anyone care to challenge the
Lord on that one??? I can say this much I certainly wouldn’t advise
it.
Hebrews 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing
of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those
things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have
grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly
fear:
We will receive a kingdom that can not be moved, and that is why I
shall not be moved. I shall stand for the truth until I no longer have
the breath in my lungs to do so and if I can still move my hands to
write then I shall stand for the Gospel of Christ with my pen and if
I can do absolutely nothing else I shall stand for the Gospel of Christ
with my silence.
There is nothing I can say that will say it better than the Word of
God. We are saved forever when we are born again, there is no question
about this. When God is with us we can not lose, it is that simple.
Psalm 112:6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall
be in everlasting remembrance.
Notice “shall not be moved for ever”. If Jesus paid the
price then the price is paid its that simple. Stop trying to put your
works into salvation and thank Jesus for the sacrifice He made for us.
In the end remember this:
Psalm 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I
shall not be moved.
Trust in Jesus and not your own works. The Lord is faithful above anything
and everything we can do.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath
begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
I thank and praise the Lord Jesus Christ for saving me and all my brothers
and sisters in Christ. I pray that the Lord will use this for His glory
only and for the spread of the Gospel of Christ because it truly is
the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. God may some
lost sinner read this and come to know you as their personal saviour
and may some fellow believer be strengthened by something I have said.
To You Lord be all the glory and honor forever and ever Amen.
