Righteous?
Righteous
- basically means to "act right" or to have "righteousness".
Righteousness
- * "conformity of life with the divine law".
None of us can say
we have perfectly conformed to God's standard or His divine law. We
have not lived it outwardly nor inwardly. The 6th commandment is, "thou
shalt not kill". You might say, "I have never killed".
But the Bible says that, "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer".
By that standard we are all guilty, NONE of us has attained to the standard
of righteousness that God requires. Truely, there is "none righteous,
no, not one".
